The Group has invested heavily over the years in order to remain at the forefront of health and safety performance. With its fully staffed health and safety department, we are able to facilitate our site teams with additional support.

Our Head office houses its own training suite which is used to deliver a full range of courses developed by the organisation and endorsed by institutions such as IOSH. The group also has the added benefit of employing its own NVQ assessment team who are always on hand to offer advice, and assess our workforce against National Standards.

With over 40 categories of training, and our own bespoke modular training DVD, we believe that our statistics speak for themselves. Globally within the group, we have seen a year on year improvement, with some divisions recording accident frequency rates of Zero.

The above, is complemented by a rigorous programme of health surveillance for the benefit of our staff, and an Auditing programme which is endorsed through a 3rd party accreditation process

Mental Health Awareness

In 2017, the Health in Construction Leadership Group hosted a summit for CEOs and leaders from across construction who overwhelmingly voted to improve the mental wellbeing of its workforce. In response to this Masterson Holdings have joined Mates in Mind to provide a joined-up and collaborative approach to support and services, including awareness and education, working in conjunction with other business initiatives.

In conjunction with Mates in Mind, Masterson Holdings aims to:

Raise awareness and understanding of mental health and mental ill-health across the group and the workforce;
Help people to understand how, when and where to get support;
Break the silence and stigma through promoting cultures of positive wellbeing throughout the group

In addition Masterson Holdings have trained Mental Health First Aiders within the group, who will have awareness of issues of mental health and means to aid persons to seek further assistance and help.
